Sharing resources fairly amongst the people of Wigan.
Grass Roots of Wigan is a community-led network for people who want to make changes in the places where they live.
We want to create a people-centred, open network where we have the space to bounce ideas around, offer and receive mutual support, learn together and from each other and stand together in solidarity.
A network where everyone is listened to and everyone's ideas matter.

We need more members of the community to join us. By working alongside Grass Roots of Wigan, you can make your ideas become a reality. We can offer support, funding and guidance so your project can grow.
We are inviting local people to submit their ideas on projects. Whether you're an individual, a group of neighbours or an established community group, we want to hear from you.
Attend an Event
We hold meetings, social events and fundraisers which you can attend. Network with your local community and have your say on how funding is spent in your area. Meet like-minded people and boost your project.
